Listed on the new Bison roster is an apparent walk-on: George Medrano from Beverly Hill H.S. in California. He is a 5'11" point guard. (Note: he is not the walk-on discussed earlier, who is from Maryland.) Medrano was one of ten on the second team all-district. (Zach Evans made the first team for his nearby district.)
In February, he was on the Full Court Press list of top unsigned players in Southern California, albeit a fairly long list. There he was described as a "heady point guard who has excellent PG intangibles. Very good student.". He made the all-tournament team at the "War at the Shore" summer AAU tournament last summer.
Apparently he can shoot the three as I found this blurb on line:
"George Medrano drained a career-best eight three-point baskets and finished with 35 points and Mahbad Zargar chipped in 15 points in a victory for the visiting Normans. Medrano also had seven rebounds for Beverly Hills (19-9, 3-3).
