I almost missed Ed Persia's article about JTIII. Not only does he describe the practices in greater detail than I have previoulsy read, he also goes into the coach's personality a little. He clearly describes a mellowing process that occurred over the early years of JTIII's regime. Probably he (JT) felt freer to become himself. Ed also recalls that several players left the team early in JT's career. I remember this vaguely, and I remember being very concerned at the time. Only after I got to watch his teams play, did I become convinced of his abilities both on and off the court. It seems that Scott was unable to loosen up even a little during his tenure. Let's hope the next coach hits the ground running, and finds that balance between driving the players to become better, yet keeping them on the team.

That was a great article; the best I've seen of the JTIII/Tiger/Hoya genre.
