Not that I want to bid him adieu too early, but Tim Begley surely has to be one of the great all time Quaker warriors. He has been a 4 year starter when three of his teams have gone to the Tournament. That has to give him close to 30 starts a year, I would guess 110+ for his career.
Jerome was a 4 year starter, so was MJ (I think). Who has more career starts than Begley? And how many have as good a winning percentage as a starter? Not too many, I would bet.
Full props to Tim Begley and all the best in the years to come.

In a car ride back from some road trip, we guessed that Tim has played more minutes than any other Quaker in history. The only real possibilities are Jordan, but he didn't start every game his freshman year, or Allen, but Allen didn't start the first few games of his freshman year and his team had so many blowouts, he got a lot of rest.
Anyone have enough media guides to check? Begley has played over 1000 minutes this year and was close to that last year. I think he's going to have the record.

You have to add Ugonna to the list of max mins at Penn - he also was a rare 4 year starter for Dunph - the thing that may hurt his min total are the first half fouls he sometimes got that got him a seat...MJ and Begs and Jerome were not big foul perps

Along with his relegation to the bench for a few games.

As I recall, Barry Pierce played as a freshman – rotating with Will. He played in 107 games. Shiffner played 108, Langel 108 and Jordon 109. All played as freshman – have to go to the game records to tally the time.
As for players that predate my first trip into the Palestra: Looking at the 1000 point club – Lefkowitz – 107 games (but unlikely a big man would play that many minutes) Tyrone Pitts – 106 games and Paul Little – 104 games.

Schiffner largely played spot time and garbage time as a frosh though, so his minutes won't be up there.

Tim has played 3,643 minutes (thank you Jake) in 115 games so far, averaging a little more than 31.6 minutes per game. I think Jordan is the only Quaker who could have played more.

the actual mins tally would be interesting - lot's of games may not equal lot's of mins - neither do starts - even when U got the bench for a few games he was still getting significant mins (Dunph may have been making a point - but he no fool)
